Teaching

Since 2016, I have taught college courses in creative writing, literature, and critical reading and writing, as well as workshops for the Clarion West Writing Workshop, Alpha Workshop, Wiscon, and Manhattanville Summer Writers Week. I want my students to understand writing as an infinitely malleable tool that can be wielded across disciplines and for all kinds of purposes. I believe that writing is a collaborative and community-oriented process, and I hope that my students leave my classroom or workshop empowered to pursue their curiosity and passion.

Here is my full CV, or my writing/editing resume.

Sample Teaching Materials:

English 102: Critical Reading and Writing

English 203: “In This Place, We Flesh” — Horror, Sex, Gender, and the Body

Workshop: The Pleasures of Peril: On Writing Horror

Lecture: Creepypasta: Scaring your friends for fun and profit probably just fun
